Mark Ronson: "Ibiza Is A Mecca For Dance Music"
EXCLUSIVE | We spoke to the DJ ahead of his 'I Want My MTV Ibiza' gig...
Mark Ronson has exclusively told I Want My MTV Ibiza on Friday 29th July, revealed that while he is a fan of the traditional party hotspots on the White Isle, he also likes the way the Ibiza music scene has "progressed."
Ahead of his stellar set at super-club Amy Winehouse - we caught up with Mark to find out why he keeps coming back to Ibiza.
Ronson explained: "It’s kind of like a mecca for dance music and it has been for a long time. I don’t know what it is about this island."
"I think there’s a lot of good music and what’s exciting right now is for a long time, it’s only been about trance and DJs, but now you have some exciting things like Annie Mac’s night and the music feels a bit youthful again. "
He continued: "You can always go and see David Guettaand that sort of stuff if you want, but I like the fact that the music is progressive and it’s not all banging club tunes. "
