Ian Wright's Family Robbed At Knifepoint
World Cup football pundit flies back from Rio after crime drama...
Former soccer star Ian Wright has flown back from Brazil after his family were subjected to a terrifying knifepoint robbery.
The Arsenal legend, 50, is reported to have jumped on the first available plane after hearing that his wife and children were threatened after intruders gained access to his home in North West London.
The Sun claims that the robbers demanded cash and jewellery and threatened to kill Wright's wife Nancy and harm their two children.
His manager Steve Kutner said: "It was a terrifying ordeal.
"They marched Ian's wife from room to room. I would like to thank ITV for helping Ian to get home as quickly as possible."
And Wrighty took to Twitter to warn the criminals: "You won't get away with it!"
And a Met Police spokesman said: "We are investigating an aggravated burglary at an address in North West London after we were called at 9.20pm last night.
"Personal possessions were stolen. The suspects are described as four black men aged between 18 and 25, with London accents, wearing dark clothing and hoodies obscuring their faces."
