Icona Pop ‘I Love It’ Set For UK No.1
Icona Pop are on course to claim their first UK No.1 this weekend putting an end to Robin Thicke’s four week reign with their raucous single I Love It.
A smash both sides of the Atlantic, Aino and Caroline told us the song is about “getting out of a really bad heartbreak and how you slowly, slowly get up on your feet again and then one day you feel a little bit stronger and then you start to realize like ‘you know what, I deserve better’ and you feel kind of empowered again.”
Elsewhere in the midweek Top 10, Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines drops to No.2 while [uuid=ff108bfb-43ff-4f40-9e82-cf94dbdfa078]The Wanted[/uuid] claim this week’s second-highest new entry Walks Like Rihanna currently placing at No.3.
After his performance with Leah McFall on The Voice UK final last weekend, will.i.am’s Bang Bang climbs 38 places to No.4.
Former No.1 La La La from Naughty Boy rounds of the Top 5.
This week’s only other new entry in the Top 40 is MTV’s very own Leeroy Reed from The Valleys’ with his debut single Can’t Get Enough currently making waves at No.27!
