Iggy Azalea: I Dated 'Husband' For Six Months
Iggy Azalea has broken her silence on the claim by an ex-BF that they had a common law marriage.
Hefe Wine, aka Maurice Williams, has been claiming he wants a "divorce" and is entitled to half of Iggy's hefty earnings since 2008.
However the Fancy rapper said his claims were fanciful at best when asked by TMZ if she had a common law husband.
She replied: "No, that was somebody I dated for about six months when I was 17. I haven't heard from this person in years."
And when asked if she thought it was "a money grab", she answered: "Yeah I think it's pretty obvious that's what it is."
She later took to Twitter to comment further on the story - suggesting that TMZ is the victim for paying the man for his story.
She wrote: "TMZ just asked me at the airport if I think my 'common law marriage' claim is a money grab. Yes, but it's TMZs money his grabbing. Lol.
"Press don't care that a story is clearly false, they just want you to click it. So they're happy to pay, and this person continues to make $
"The whole cycle is stupid and a waste of my time. #WhoGetsTheSilverWare"
So there you go.
TMZ just asked me at the airport if I think my "common law marriage" claim is a money grab. Yes, but it's TMZs money his grabbing. Lol.
