Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith To Headline 2014 MTV VMAs Concert

Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith are set toheadline the 2014MTV Video Music Awards concert to benefitLifebeat - Music Fights HIV/AIDS, a national nonprofit focused on educating America’s youth about HIV/AIDS prevention.

After being nominated for the “MTV Artist to Watch” Award in 2013, Azalea is set to make her debut VMA performance on Sunday night where she will perform her new single Black Widow,which is currently flying up the charts, along with “MTV Artist to Watch” alumni Rita Ora.

Azalea has received seven nominations this year including the highly coveted “Video of the Year,” “Best Female Video,” “Best Pop Video” and “Best Collaboration” categories and more.

Nominated in this year’s “Artist to Watch” category, Sam Smith will also vie for “Best Male Video” during the awards.

Smith recently made U.S. pop music history with his debut album, In The Lonely Hour, selling more copies in its first week of release than any other debut album by a UK male artist in the 23-year history of Soundscan.
