Carl Fogarty has been crowned King Of The Jungle in the grand finale of this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 49-year-old former World Superbike champion beat Jake Quickenden in the final public vote - with Melanie Sykes having been revealed as the third place finisher shortly beforehand.

Foggy sunk to his knees and welled up with tears when he was revealed as the winner, saying: "I just think it's all a dream.

"Whatever's coming out of my mouth right now is probably all rubbish."

Viewers had earlier seen him successfully complete his final Bushtucker Trial, gamely chowing down on delicacies including camel's penis and live cockroaches.

And X Factor contestant Quickenden was gracious in defeat.

"I can't get my head around what's happened. More people have voted for me in this than as a singer!" he quipped.

"I couldn't have lost to a better man. He deserves it, he's a legend."

Edwina Currie had been voted off the show in the semi-final last night.
