Helen Flanagan Fails Latest Bushtucker Trial
'Cruelty Towers' challenge sees soap star freak out (again)...
Helen Flanagan has failed yet another Bushtucker Trial after ending the task early on last night’s I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! (Thursday 15 November).
The 'Cruelty Towers' challenge called for the 22-year-old to navigate her way around a makeshift hotel whose "guests" included snakes, a crocodile, an ostrich and spiders.
Helen confessed that she felt "chilled" ahead of the trial and told hosts Ant and Dec that she was "getting worked up", adding: "If they're [the public] going to keep doing this to me every single day, I want to go home."
The former Coronation Street star eventually agreed to take part – but only got as far as the first room, which contained an ostrich.
After removing a light to dislodge the first star, the room was plunged into darkness and creepy crawlies dropped on her head.
Flanagan immediately screamed: "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!", ending the task and resulting in an automatic fail.
She later admitted she had freaked out too early, saying: "I didn't realise it was going to go dark, that freaked me out. I wish I could have gone in there now, I feel really stupid. Can I go back in?", before confessing that she didn't want to break the news to her hungry team mates.
There was a mixed response back at camp. David Haye said: "Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I upset? No. She said she tried her best and that's all you can ask from our little Helen," while fellow soap star Charlie Brooks was less forgiving.
Previously, Helen lasted just 10 seconds in the 'Bug Burial' trial, sparking rumours that show producers and Ant and Dec were ‘losing patience’ with her.
She was also beaten by Nadine Dorries in the 'Rotten Rhymes' eating trial.
I'm a Celebrity continues tonight (16 November) at 9pm on ITV1.
