I'm A Celebrity 2016: Scarlett Moffatt Admits To Being Bullied As A Child: "I Was Really Weird & Believed In Aliens"
She wasn't always her bubbly, straight-talking self...
Scarlett Moffatt is already becoming one of the viewer's favourite celebs (literally ever) after entering the jungle for this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
But in contrast to the confident, bubbly lass she is now, Scarlett has revealed that this wasn't the case when she was younger.
Speaking to The Sun, the 25-year-old admitted to being bullied as a child: "I think it was the monobrow, and teeth that could chew an apple through a letterbox.
“I was really ugly, I was really weird and I believed in aliens.
“Even as a kid when I was 11 or 12, I wasn’t like the other kids in the school – I still wore my hair in pigtails. No wonder I got picked on.”
However, the Gogglebox star said that it all became easier once she'd moved schools: "I still didn’t try to fit in but, luckily, everyone was nicer there. You can’t please everyone all the time."
So how did she become the straight-talking lass we know and love today?
"Being bullied made me realise that people will like you or not like you anyway, so you might as well be yourself and say exactly what you think”, she revealed.
Keep being you Scarlett! And keep confronting your fears during those Bush Tucker Trials whilst dreaming of chicken kebabs…
