I'm A Celebrity: Annabel Giles Is First Out Of Jungle
Former model gets the boot in first eviction vote of series...
Annabel Giles has become the first contestant to get her marching orders from this year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The former model and TV personality took the news that she had lost the first public vote to evict a contestant quite well.
She said: "That's okay, I don't mind."
And she told Alfonso Ribeiro, who had also faced eviction: "Alfonso, I'm sorry you don't get to see your baby."
Then she told hosts Ant and Dec: "I feel like the most unpopular girl in the school. Maybe I am? I'm the first out, aren't I? Someone has to do it and it might as well be me."
And talking about her time in the jungle, she continued: "It was a lot harder than you think. I'm sure everyone comes out and says that.
"There is lots of things you don't see in just an hour's show. It's really quite tough. I've always thought 'oh those bloody celebrities moaning away', but it is actually quite hard.
"I don't know where this fear of bugs has come from, I didn't know I had it because I haven't been in this kind of situation before."
And before her exit, Annabel had accused rival contestant Amy Willerton of "playing a game".
Complaining that Amy had fibbed about her wanting to go home, so not needing to be given immunity from eviction, she stormed: "I never said that, I wanted to be saved. I've only been here a week haven't I? I didn't say that."
And later in the Bush Telegraph, she added: "I don't know why she would wish me ill except that perhaps I'm onto her and she knows it. She is playing a game unlike anyone else is. She is very much here to win and she will win and nothing will get in the way of Amy winning."
But some other contestants have observed that Amy is "being picked on".
Joey Essex is currently the favourite with bookies to win the series.
