I'm A Celebrity: Freddie Starr Leaves Jungle For Good

After suffering an allergic reaction, the comedian has left the Aussie Bush...

Mark Wright had to eat a variety of jungle nasties.
It has now been confirmed that upon doctors advice, Starr will NOT be rejoining his campmates, with ITV saying in a statement: "Producers of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! have decided that Freddie Starr won't return to live in the jungle."
They added: "Freddie has been a terrific contestant. His Bushtucker Trial is one of the stand-out moments in the history of the show and we wish him all the very best."
After the announcement, Starr said he was "gutted" having to leave the show, telling The Mirror: "I’ll miss everyone in the jungle and whoever wins the competition, I wish them all the luck in the world. I’d love Fatima Whitbread to win."
“I was sorry to hear what the doctors said, that I was allergic to something, to play it safe and it’s best for me not to go back in. It may not happen again, but we’ll never know…"

He added: "I was sick not to finish the show, but there’s no use crying over spilt milk. The decision has been made and I have to live with that."

The 68-year old then joked: “Doctors said to me, ‘If you go in there, you’ll die’.”

Freddie is now expected to fly back to the UK to be with his 34-year old girlfriend Sophie - who is thought to be pregnant.

A source told The Mirror: "Sophie's pregnant. She moved in with Freddie about 18 months ago. She's very pretty and he must be delighted they're having a family together."
