Nadine Dorries Beats Helen Flanagan In Bushtucker Trial
As show hosts Ant and Dec criticise Helen for not trying in tasks...
The former Coronation Street actress failed to eat as many unappetising snacks as the Tory MP in the "Rotten Rhymes" challenge, leading to another night of minimum rations for her campmates.
Helen could only manage a nibble of the first course, a baked spider given the name "Little Miss Muffet", while Nadine scoffed all of hers.
Next was a camel's toe, which both attempted to eat but Helen ended up spitting out.
"Humpty Dumpty" was next - a fermented duck's egg - which Helen did manage to swallow but Nadine passed on. And "Hot Cross Bums" followed that - with both eating an ostrich anus.
Both also managed to eat the "Baa Baa Black Sheep" course (aka lamb's testicles), meaning that Nadine triumphed by just one point and got to take four meals back to her campmates.
But Helen was feeling proud of herself despite her loss, saying: "I'm so happy, I know I didn't win. I'm so proud of myself. I've never been so proud of myself.
"I can't believe I ate those things. I'm on top of the world. I know I lost by one point. It's kind of boosted my confidence that I can do things. I feel really happy that I got what I got."
However show hosts Ant and Dec have been less than sympathetic towards her, publicly criticising her for pulling out of the previous day's "Bug Burial" trial after just 10 seconds.
The Mirror quoted Dec as saying: "It's annoying when they don't attempt the trial. The fact that Helen only lasted 10 seconds was a poor show."
And Ant replied: "You've just got to do it. Put up with it and do it – and then the public tend to say, 'OK, they gave it a go. We won't vote for them any more'."
