During last night’s OMG-packed finale of 'The Walking Dead', Fox took the chance to show off some brand new material from upcoming sci-fi sequel' Independence Day: Resurgence', giving us a first look at those pesky alien invaders. And from the looks of things, they aren’t any friendlier then they were 20 years ­ago…

The new teaser shows Bill Pullman’s returning ex-President taking the questionable decision to enter a sealed room with one of said extra-terrestrials.

Sure enough, he soon has a tentacle wrapped round his neck as he’s forced to deliver the eerie message, “She has arrived”.

Those aliens, eh? No chill at all.

From the looks of the carnage on display here, the aliens have been nursing quite the grudge over the past two decades. Even Liam Hemsworth is nervous, and he’s seen Pan-Em go to hell in a handcart.

With no Will Smith this time around, the pressure will be falling squarely on Jeff Goldblum to science the hell out of the situation…
