For any guys out there who think the girls get all the fun when it comes to extreme beauty, prepare to hop on board the latest trend that's blowing up all over Instagram.

While Movember might be done and dusted, you might want to think twice about getting rid of any remaining facial hair now that it's December asinstead of going clean-shaven, the men of the internet are making the most of their beards with a bit of a festive twist.

If a festive knit just isn't going to make enough of an impact at any holiday parties you're off to, the glitter beard is clearly going to be the talk of the refreshment table and will have you looking glitzier than a Christmas tree.

Somewhere between a vajazzle and having a strand of tinsel stuck to your face, this is one case where more is more and as you can see from the pics guys have been posting on Instagram, it's all about making a statement with some seriously glittery facial hair.

If you want to give it a go but aren't sure where to start, we'd recommend checking out a glitter hairspray rather than going for the DIY approach with standard glitter. Not only will these be made for use on sensitive areas of skin like you get on your head, but they'll dry in a treat and stop your spreading glitter all over everywhere.
