Finally A Restaurant That Exists For The Sole Purpose Of Getting A Good Instagram Pic
Check out the parody sketch video about a restaurant opened in New York that doesn't serve edible food, but was instead created with the only intention of helping you take a good Instagram photo of your eggs and avocado on toast.
If you can’t go out for brunch without snapping at least 47 Instagram photos to perfectly capture each and every angle of your avocado on toast, then today is your lucky day.
Why? Because someone has finally realised that in the internet age, the actual eating element of meal times is sort of redundant when most of us are more interested in getting the ultimate Instagram pic, and as a result has opened a restaurant purely to help you to do it for the ‘gram.
Forget fresh ingredients and homemade delicacies as this New York restaurant founder relies more on things like adjustable lighting units and bottles of hairspray to give her food that glossy photo-finish that's going to get you all of the likes.
“The first time I saw a picture of a double bacon cheeseburger being used to garnish a Bloody Mary I realised people don’t care how well food tastes as long as it looks amazing when it’s photographed,” the owner of the restaurant, Sight, tells Elite Daily.
Okay, okay - it turns out that this is a parody and actually all part of a fairly hilarious sketch put together by Elite Daily to mock our obsession with Instagramming every single thing before we can bear to put it in our mouths.
But even if it is all an elaborate joke, it does make you think; would it really be that unbelievable if this was a real restaurant? Nope, probably not.
