Having seen Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage raise the bar for small-screen superheroes, the time has finally arrived for Iron Fist to make his grand entrance, with Netflix revealing the first trailer for their latest Marvel spin-off. And it’s every bit as badass as you’ve been hoping…

The new show focuses on Danny Rand (Finn Jones), presumed dead for 15 years, but actually fresh from 15 years in the Himalayas learning some jaw-dropping martial arts. Now he’s back in NYC (Hell’s Kitchen, to be specific), and what’s this? A local crime syndicate all up in his business? Sounds like a case for… IRON FIST! Pow!

If you were looking carefully, you’ll have spotted a brief glimpse of Madame Gao, the heroin peddler familiar from the Daredevil series. Is she the link that will bring Iron Fist into contact with the other “Defenders” (as Cage, Jones and Daredevil are referred to)? We’ll have to wait and see…

Co-starring Jessica Henwick, Jessica Stroup and Rosario Dawson, Iron Fist will debut on Netflix on 17 March 2017.
