Iron Man 3director Gwyneth Paltrow's character Pepper Potts was cut from the movie's script.
Black and co-writer Drew Pearce told Empire magazine that Potts had slept with villain Aldrich Killian - played by Guy Pearce - in an early version of the flick, but the scene was axed.

Black explained: "In the second draft, Pepper slept with Killian because he was so pheromonally enhanced with Extremis that she couldn't resist him.
"Also, she was angry at Tony. Then he makes a sex tape and broadcasts it in Home Depot!"
Pearce added: "That seems audacious even by our standards. It was definitely groundbreaking."
The duo also confessed that the film was originally 3 hours and 15 minutes long, with 75 minutes having to be cut.
A car chase scene and additional villains Mallen (from the Extremis comic book arc) and Simon Krieger were eventually axed from the final version.
