Coldplay Top Ivor Novello Nominees

The nominees for this years Ivor Novello songwriting awards have been announced and its Coldplay leading the charge.

Chris Martin and his merry men have received three nominations: International Hit Of the Year (Speed Of Sound), Most Performed Word (Speed Of Sound again) and Best Song Musically and Lyrically (Fix You).

James Blunt is hot on Coldplays heels, having received two nods for himself, both for his giant single Beautiful.

Other nominees for the 2006 Ivors include KT Tunstall, Gorillaz and Arctic Monkeys.
