Its no secret that Ja Rules had a tough few years, with his feuds, federal indictments and most recently weapons charges.

But after a much needed rest, the Rule is back with his first album in 3 years The Mirror. We asked Ja the meaning behind the title.

'The mirror is your place of truth you cant lie to yourself. So I want people to get a feeling of what its like to live in my world for one minute', he told MTV.

After all that looking in the mirror and self observation, we asked Ja if he thinks hip hop acts are unfairly treated by the media.

'We have a bad stigma on us - so anything that we do gets amplified 10 times. People are waiting for us to do those things so that when we do them they can say I told you so, look at those rappers.'

Fair point Ja " but Im not too sure youd find Samanda getting investigated by the feds.
