Jack Garratt Brought His ‘Phase’ Tour To London & It Was Incredible

We LOVE JG <3

Jack Garratt’s stratospheric rise to fame over the last eighteen months has been one that every up and coming artist dreams of.

As part of our MTV Brand New list for 2016, and with the shortlist for 2017 being announced today, his story of success provides inspiration for new acts trying to make it in the big scary world of the music industry.

Last night he brought his 'Phase' tour to his hometown, at the first of two sold out shows at London’s Eventim Apollo. We’ve seen him go from Shepherds Bush Empire back in November 2015, to Brixton Academy in April 2016 and now the Eventim Apollo, a 5000 capacity venue, of which he'ssold out.

During his performance it was clear to see that these shows mean a lot to him, them being his biggest headline shows in the capital to date, and the fact that his whole family were up in the circle watching him perform.

A Jack Garratt live show is a show like no other. From epic face-melting moments to the quieter, more intimate moments, one thing is for sure, he has the whole crowd in the palm of his hand waiting on his every move. Whether that be an insanely epic guitar riff or an energetic drum solo, his talent exudes through every note.

The amount of sound that this one man can produce verges on unbelievable. His skill across instruments is unrivalled and through his performance he demonstrates expertise across so many different pieces of equipment. From guitars to synths, drum pads to an actual drum kit, he impressively glides between them.

The thing that makes his shows so great is how humble he is as he sincerely thanks the crowd for coming out to watch him. This mixed with his great sense of humour and camaraderie with the audience takes it from a good show to an all-round entertaining one.

If you want a good night out with great music, Jack Garratt's your man.
