Jackie Chan's Son Jailed For Possessing Weed
Movie star's offspring sentenced to six months...
The son of martial arts movie legend Jackie Chan has been jailed for six months in China for possessing marijuana.
Jaycee Chan, 32, was collared by police in a raid on his home in Beijing last August - when he was discovered with 100g of the drug.
Both he and friend Taiwanese actor Kai Ko, who was with him at the time, tested positive for the drug - but Ko was later released following a two-week stint in custody.
Appearing at Beijing's Dongcheng District Court, Chan pleaded guilty to "sheltering others to use drugs" and was fined £213.
He told the court: "I just gave (the police) information and I confessed because I didn't know how to deal with the marijuana."
His father has said he is "ashamed" of his son's drug use and wrote on his website: "I hope that in the future, he could become an anti-drug spokesman and tell his experiences to young people."
