Jake Gyllenhaal Auditioned For Lord Of The Rings
Jake Gyllenhaalhas confessed he tried out for the role ofLord Of The Rings - describing it "one of the worst auditions".
The actor made the revelation during an awards season roundtable with Elijah Wood went on to claim.
Gyllenhaal said: "I remember auditioning for The Lord of the Rings, and going in and not being told that I needed a British accent.
"I had like one line, like 'Oh, the Ring!' or something, and I remember having to open up the case and see the ring, and doing it horribly.
"I really do remember Peter Jackson saying to me, 'You know that you have to do this in a British accent?' We heard back that it was literally one of the worst auditions."
