The X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur has confessed his love for mentor Nicole Scherzinger, while also admitting he would marry former judge Cheryl Cole "in a heartbeat."
The Impossible singer, who has become the fastest-selling winner in the show's history, was speaking about his highlights of being a contestant on the talent series - claiming that working with Scherzy was one of them.
According to The Sun, Arthur gushed about Nicole to UTV Radio’s Total Access, quoting the 24-year old as saying: “It’s like hugging a goddess.
"She’s phenomenal and she’s even more beautiful in real life than she is on TV. And cute, she’s just like the full package. I think I might be in love with her.”
James then went on to reveal his crush on Chezza, stating: "Oh God, I love that woman so much I would marry her in a heartbeat.
“She’s just like the nation’s sweetheart, isn’t she, and she’s from the North East, you can’t get much better than that.”
Cheryl seemed to approve of Arthur taking this year's X Factor crown, tweeting after his win: "Congratulations James Arthur, true talent!!", to which James replied: "thank you Cheryl your an angel x."
