James Arthurhas revealed that he has been working on a dubstep track withNicole Scherzinger.
The winner of The X Factor told stv.tv that he had a number of irons in the fire with his former mentor on the talent show.
Claiming that he talks to her every day, he said: "People don't believe me when I say that, but we're very close.
"We're going to make some music together, and will have something out in the future. We were doing a dubstep tune the last time we were together.
"I was doing a bit of rapping, she was doing a bit of singing. It's fun working with Nicole, there's no boundaries with her, she just wants to make good music."
And he pledged his loyalty to Nic in the upcoming series of the talent show.
"I'm Team Scherzy. I'm in Nicole's corner.
"I think the girls are really strong... I like Hannah [Barrett] a lot, she's got proper soul... and I believe her when she sings."
