When asked whether he’d like to hook-up with the ex-Pussycat Dolls star in the studio, the Impossible singer said: “I would absolutely love to”, before adding: “In fact, she better work with me!”
Having had a few days since his win on Sunday night (9th December) to reflect on his time on the talent series, James cited his performance of Adele’sHometown Glory as a true highlight, even if it did cause slight ‘conflict’ between certain production teams.
He beamed: “I’m so glad that they gave me creative control and allowed me to do what I wanted with the songs.
“They let me put dubstep out on Saturday night TV to Gladys in Grimsby. I appreciated that because I think there was a bit of a conflict between TV and the music team.”
James went on to say: “There’s a lot of highlights for me being involved in the X Factor, you know just working with people like Nicole and the whole X Factor team that have nurtured myself and the rest of the talent in the best possible way. It was a real pleasure to be part of the show.”
