James Arthur: 'Nicole Better Work With Me!'

EXCLUSIVE! XF winner says Scherzy collabo will ‘definitely happen’…

The X Factor 2012 winner James Arthur has told MTV.co.uk that he’s dead set on working with his mentor Nicole Scherzinger in the near future.

When asked whether he’d like to hook-up with the ex-Pussycat Dolls star in the studio, the Impossible singer said: “I would absolutely love to”, before adding: “In fact, she better work with me!”

Having had a few days since his win on Sunday night (9th December) to reflect on his time on the talent series, James cited his performance of Adele’s Hometown Glory as a true highlight, even if it did cause slight ‘conflict’ between certain production teams.

He beamed: “I’m so glad that they gave me creative control and allowed me to do what I wanted with the songs.

“They let me put dubstep out on Saturday night TV to Gladys in Grimsby. I appreciated that because I think there was a bit of a conflict between TV and the music team.”

James went on to say: “There’s a lot of highlights for me being involved in the X Factor, you know just working with people like Nicole and the whole X Factor team that have nurtured myself and the rest of the talent in the best possible way. It was a real pleasure to be part of the show.”

Although the speculation that Cheryl Cole could be returning to the judging panel has since been denied, James thought the Girls Aloud singer’s return 'sounded good.'

Speaking of Chezza, the 24-year old said: “Cheryl’s the nations sweetheart, everybody loves Cheryl. I can’t see it doing any harm."

However, he then insisted: “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the current line up.”

James Arthur’s Impossible is on course to be this week’s No.1. Check back at 4pm today for the Official Chart Update.
