James Arthur has pulled out his scheduled appearance at the V Festival this weekend.
The winner of The X Factor has revealed that he is suffering from a severe throat infection, which has left him too poorly to perform.
A message on the festival's official Twitter feed read: "It's with regret James Arthur is unable to perform this weekend due to a severe throat infection.
"We wish him a speedy recovery."
J-Arth had been due to play the 4Music stage along with Labrinth, fun. and Conor Maynard.
Beyoncé, Kings Of Leon and The Saturdays are among the other acts appearing at the two-centre festival - which takes place on the same weekend in Hylands Park near Chelmsford and Weston Park near Birmingham.
Arthur recently teased a snippet of his forthcoming new music.
