In an interview with the Miami New Times, James Blake has spoken about how his new album is just around the corner. His third, a follow-up to the critically acclaimed Overgrown, will (fingers, toes and legs crossed) feature none other than Kanye West.

In the interview, James said, “I’m probably about 70 percent done with it. I’m working hard and doing my best- I’m aware that people want to hear this record”.

[related] Exciting stuff, fuelled even further by the admission that Yeezy, who Blake has long been a fan of, will with any luck be featuring on a track. “In terms of actual collaboration for this record, it looks like we should be able to get something done. I know there’s a specific song I would like him to be on."

We reckon it’d be pretty rude of 'Ye to turn down a specially selected song, and with James Blake’s track record of nabbing excellent album guests (Chance The Rapper, Brian Eno and The Rza included), let’s hope this collab comes tofruition - this is the second timeJames has mentioned it, after all.
