WWE superstar Batista will rumble with Daniel Craig’s James Bond, it has been confirmed.
The former six-time champ was unveiled as nemesis Mr Hinx at Pinewood Studios by director Sam Mendes for the 24th instalment of Bond franchise, SPECTRE.
"I'll have a protein shake, shaken not stirred," the star - real name Dave Bautista - tweeted.
He added: "Holy crap, this is really happening!"
It is believed his henchman character will tussle with 007 in “several fights”.
Also joining Batista, 45, in the principal cast are double Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Andrew Scott and Léa Seydoux, alongside acting luminaries and regulars Craig, 46, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Rory Kinnear.
Currently filming the remake of Kickboxer, ‘The Animal’ stunned cinema audiences this summer with his excellent turn as Drax The Destroyer in blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy.
He thanked Guardians director James Gunn: "Forever in your debt my friend."
SPECTRE is scheduled for UK release in October 2015. 2012’s Skyfall pulled in over $1.1 billion worldwide at the box office and set a new record in the UK by becoming the first film to take over £100 million.
