Adele Confirms She's Singing Skyfall Theme
She's tweeted a pic of the score & unveiled a countdown to the song...
Before revealing the song's artwork, the star posted a snap of what appears to be the musical score for the song on her Twitter feed.
It reads "from the motion picture Skyfall", with the song title "Skyfall" in inverted commas underneath - and writing credits are given to A Atkins and P Epworth, with P Epworth and JAC Redford credited for arrangement.
Paul Epworth produced Adele's smash hit album 21.
After teasing her fans on Twitter, the 24-year old later confirmed: "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall.
"There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song.
"But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end."
She added: "It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
"I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure."
According to Digital Spy, lyrics of the song reportedly include: "Let the sky fall/ Let it crumble/ We will stand tall/And face it all/ together."
Showbiz 411 has also described the track as an "ominous, dramatic ballad" with "lots of gorgeous horn flourishes".
A countdown to the premiere of the song has since emerged on Adele's official website, stating that it will be unveiled online at 00.07am (UK time) on Friday, 5th October.
Skyfall hits cinemas on 26th October.
