Sam Mendes is reported to be "75 per cent" ready to sign up to direct the next James Bondmovie.
The critically acclaimed stage and screen director, who was responsible forDaniel Craigreturning as 007, with Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q.
Skyfall is nominated for an Oscar for cinematography, and also in four other categories - including for Adele's theme song.
