Sam Mendes 'In Talks To Direct Next Bond Movie'

Movie site reports Skyfall director looking likely to return for Bond 24...

Sam Mendes is reported to be back in the frame to direct the nextJames Bondmovie.
The Skyfall filmmaker is claimed by Deadline to have wavered on his refusal of an offer to helm Bond 24 - and to now be in talks with Sony Pictures and MGM.
Mendes had turned down the opportunity to direct the next Bond because he had previous theatrical commitments, including launching his production of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory in the West End.
But Deadline's Mike Fleming Jr now reckons Mendes is looking highly likely to return.
He wrote: "The producers wanted him and he wanted to return, and the only thing standing in the way were these stage commitments that Mendes felt obligated to do.
"So, they've decided to wait for him to work through those other commitments, and he's now making a deal to start production probably next year."
Skyfall has become the most-successful Bond film ever - grossing more than $1bn and becoming the eighth-biggest box office hit of all time.
