James Franco 'Didn't Know' About His Cameo In New Dawn Of The Apes Film
Actor says he was completely unaware that he features in the upcoming movie...
James Franco has admitted that he was unaware of his cameo in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
The actor, who appeared in the prequel Rise of the Planet of the Apes, was surprised to hear that he will be in the new film.
"Wait, I have a cameo? I didn't know that", he told Entertainment Weekly.
"You know, I don't even think they asked my permission for that", he added.
Franco played scientist Will Rodman in the prequel, who first created the race of genius apes.
He will apparently feature in a posthumous cameo on video in the upcoming release.
Vulture.com noted that the footage could be that of a similar scene that Franco told MTV about back in 2012, which didn't make the film as director Rupert Wyatt chose not to return for the sequel.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be released in the UK cinemas on 17 July.
