Singer James Morrison says he's not bothered about the trappings of fame and would prefer to spend his earnings on his mum.

The sensitive crooner had a top 5 smash in August with 'You Give Me Something' and looks set to follow in his own foot steps with new tune 'Wonderful World' riding high in the midweek charts.

But when the money starts to pour in James tells MTV.co.uk he won't be blinging it up.

"I'm in process of trying to sort my mums house out for her. I want to do that and set up a studio there so I can spend more time there."

And as his star rises he assured us his head won't be turned by supermodels and designer clothes.

"James Blunts got a model girlfriend and if he likes her, fine, but its not what Im about," commented the singer.

"Im pretty happy with wearing non-designer clothes and going out with people who are normal."
