Jamie Oliver Turned Down Role In The Hobbit

The naked chef admits he said no to a part in Peter Jackson’s movie…

Jamie Oliver has revealed that he was given a chance to play a hobbit in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit… but turned down the part because he was working.

BBC News reports the celebrity chef was offered the role in return for supplying the catering at the director’s 50th birthday in New Zealand.

But Oliver revealed he had to say no due to work commitments.

“The worst thing that happened to me was that I got phoned up by the exec producer and asked did I want to go and cook for Peter Jackson’s birthday,” he explained whilst filming his upcoming series, Jamie And Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.

“And if I did, they would fly me over and I could be a hobbit in the film.

“But I was working, I couldn’t get out of it,” he revealed.

“I really wanted to do it. I would have got right into it as well,” he added.

We feel for you, Jamie!

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies hit No 1 in the US box office after it’s release earlier this month.
