The xx Release Ace Video For Jamie xx's Genius 'On Hold' Remix

The xx have surprised us with a very special remix of their fantastic single 'On Hold' from their very own Jamie xx and it's absolutely delicious.

The feel-good original has been completely transformed into a dreamy six-minute, dance floor-ready mix that will put you in a trance, and the video is total house party goals. Seriously.

While the remix premiered on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show last night, its super-fun music video was released today and is essentially just the night version of the original's video, picking up where it left off as they throw an epic house party.

"The video is an extension of our original ‘On Hold’ music video, which was directed by the brilliant Alasdair McLellan and filmed in Marfa, Texas," they said. "It was such a fun party!"

YEAH, WE KNOW. Stop making us jealous.

'On Hold' was released late last year as the lead single from the band's truly brilliant third album I See You, which we would absolutely love to hear remixed in full.

They released Four Tet's sprawling, eight-minute house reworking of 'A Violent Noise' back in April, teasing the idea of a complete remix album.
