Jason Derulo: 'Cheating Played No Part' In Jordin Sparks Break-Up

The singer quashes infidelity rumours surrounding his split....

Jason Derulo has spoken out about his split with Jordin Sparks.

The couple officially announced they were parting ways yesterday, due to their hectic schedules adding pressure to their romance.

Despite staying mum on the break-up (aside from an official statement), the Wiggle singer has now addressed some nasty rumours on infidelity surrounding the split.

In an attempt to nip the cheating rumours in the bud, Derulo told ABC News: "Though I think it is a private matter and intended to keep my break-up [with] Jordin personal, due to bogus and irresponsible lies being reported by insensitive media outlets it became necessary for me to comment

"I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part", he added in a statement to the news network.

"Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives.

The singer himself then posted a screen shot of his comments to his own Instagram page - confirming that all was well post-break-up.

The Talk Dirty star again spoke out on the infidelity rumours in his post, writing: "Everything is cool.

"It's not a bad situation. It's not one of those kind of things," he added.

Meanwhile, Jordin, who's stayed quiet after the split, may have alluded to her break-up from Jason in a recent Twitter post.

The Battlefield songstress tweeted to followers "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it's happened", suggesting the amicable break-up is exactly that.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
