Jay Sean Loves Nicki Minaj

British R&B singer Jay Seanhas revealed that he was pleasantly surprised when female rap sensation Nicki Minajphoned him to ask if they could work together.

The Down hit-maker thinks that Minaj is a great artist so it was a great pleasure to work with her on their new track, 2012.

He told MTV News US: "It was actually a surprise for me, when Nicki Minaj heard '2012' she called me and she was like, 'I love it! It's sick. I'm going in on this!'

"I'm a fan of Nicki's, I think she's incredible and I had wanted to work with her for a while, but when she picked this song out herself, I was like, 'Go ahead. Bless it. Please.' "
