Meet Playmate '08
There are few images as iconic the world over as the Jayde Nicole at The Palms pool in Las Vegas (home to the Playboy club " where else!).
The official announcement was made at their outrageous weekly summer event 'Ditch Fridays'. But we didnt just sit there taking in the sights, knocking back cocktails in the Playboy VIP cabana, no - we kept it News and went in search of the real story.
It feels awesome, Im so proud beamed 22-year-old Jayde, the 49th PMOY who is putting her home town on the map: Im from a tiny town called Port Perry in Canada, in fact Im the first Canadian to make Playmate of the Year for 26 years which is really cool.
When asked how she found out, a big smile grew on Jaydes face: Well the whole things a total secret but then Holly (Madison " Hugh Hefners #1 girlfriend) told me after Hef had made his decision. Shes amazing. It was such a surprise.
With Miley Cyrus tipped to pose for PB when shes old enough, dont be surprised if you see Jayde go the other way " I love music, especially rock, Im actually learning to play the guitar right now.
So what does the future hold for Miss Nicole? Well Ill be busy travelling the world for the next year with Playboy " I cant wait to come to Europe!.
Just a pretty face? No chance. Jayde has written a motivational book for women, has her own modelling agency, has piloted a new reality TV show and is devoted to raising money for the (RED) Campaign to help fight AIDS in Africa, Toronto childrens hospitals and Animal welfare.
Of course she raises the money in true Playmate style " a charity car wash: I had about 30 models in bikinis with me washing cars and signing autographs. It was wicked!. So thats why Canadian guys have such clean cars...
