Beef Off The Menu For Jay-Z And Nas
New York's finest join forces for Def Jam deal
Nas has ended years of bitter rivalry with Jay-Z by sensationally signing to his Def Jam label.
Four years ago, at a gig for Hot 97, he publicly dissed Nas and kicked off one of the most famous feuds in hip-hop.
But three months ago Nas appeared live on stage alongside Jay at the Power 105.1 show in New Jersey, essentially setting aside their differences. At the time Jay said: "All that beef sh** is done, we had our fun. Let's get this money!"
According to the New York Times Nas will get around $3m per album as part of a deal that will see profits split from his next two albums between Def Jam and his old label Sony, and then a further two albums that will be solely for Def Jam.
