Glastonbury Tickets On Sale Early
Organisers have taken new measures after the festival struggled to sell out in 08
Glastonbury tickets for 2009s festival will go on sale in October this year- in a new move by organisers. Those going to the festival (up to 100,000) will be able to reserve a ticket for a 50 deposit. Michael Eavis- the famer behind the event- hopes this will help tickets sales which were unusually slow this year. Glasto did sell out but only at the last minute- a trend that was blamed on hip hop star Jay Z headlining. Eavis also said that ticket prices will rise this year to cover fuel costs. And when asked which acts will headlining in 2009 he told the BBC: We'll probably be going for the more traditional headliner next year because there are more of them around and after this year everyone wants to come onboard because it was such a good do.
