Jay Z Talks Blueprint 3

The rapper tells MTV News that he could have it finished in three weeks if he wanted

Jay Z has spoken about his new album The Blueprint 3 and explained why its not been released yet.

The star spoke to MTV News presenter Sway backstage at his pre-election gig and said he had other distractions.

Jay revealed: "For me, the process of making an album is difficult with so many things going on And me, I wanna make it beyond and above. I'm gonna take my time with it."

The hip hop legend has recently contributed tracks to the Notorious soundtrack and a recorded a remix of Young Jeezys My President.

He continued: I don't have any quotas, and that's a good thing. It may be too freeing. It's a good thing and a bad thing 'Cause if I had restrictions, I would have done it in three weeks. I would have made what I believe to be a great piece of art.

Jigga confirmed that previous leaks Jockin Jay-Z, Swagga Like Us and Brooklyn Go Hard would all appear on the new album- his first since American Gangster.
