Jay-Z 'Close To Tears When Talking About Blue Ivy'
Rapper has released emotional clip to tease new LP, Magna Carta Holy Grail...
Jay-Zwas close to tears when talking about daughter Blue Ivy in a new interview to promote album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
The Empire State Of Mind hitmaker - who welcomed his first child with wife Beyoncé in January 2012 - becomes overwhelmed with emotion when talking about song Jay Z Blue, which explains how he feels about being a dad.
Speaking to producer Rick Rubin about his baby girl, Jigga reveals: "She's something that we both created. We still marvel at her.
"It's most obvious in the song called 'Jay Z Blue'. And it deals with... my pop left when I was young, so he didn't teach me how to be a man nor how to raise a child or how to treat a woman. So of course, my karma, the two things I need, I don't have, right? And I have a daughter."
A choked up Jay then adds: "It's the paranoia of not being a great dad."
Magna Carter Holy Grail - Jigga's 12th studio set - will be released through his Samsung app tomorrow (July 4), before being available worldwide on July 7.
Jay also made the news today (July 3) after it was rumoured that himself and Bey spent £5,000 on pal Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's newborn daughter, North.
