Jay-Z Reveals He Wanted To Help Amy Winehouse Before Her Death: 'I Told Her To Stay With Us'
Jay-Z has been pretty busy promoting his latest album4:44recently, and during an interview the rapper got real about how he wanted to helpAmy Winehouse before her tragic death.
Amy died in 2011 at the age of 27 following her well-documented struggle with drink and drugs. Six years after her death,Jay-Z has recalled how he became concernedwhen he met the singer for the first time in a New York pub.

The rapperrevealed on Tidal's Rap Radar podcast:"The first time we hung out, I told her,'Stay with us'."
Amy was founddeadin her London home of alcohol intoxication on July 23, 2011. Jay-Z expressed his desire to help Amy having heard the lyrics to her hit 'Rehab'.
He said:"She was telling us, she was writing songs to our face.. 'They're trying to make me go to rehab, I'm not going', like, what? You have to go!"
Jay-Z admitted thathethinksthe stigma surrounding social illness is preventing sufferers from seeking help.
"We're not dealing with that because it's not the cool thing to do.. These things unfortunately have to happen on a large stage so everyone can see," claimed the rapper.
Jay Z and Amy worked together in 2007 on a remix of her hit rehab.
