Jay-Z has hit out at rumours that his famous wife Beyoncé faked her pregnancy.

Back in 2011, reports surfaced that Bey was faking her pregnancy with Blue Ivy while the couple engaged the services of a surrogate.

At the time, the Love On Top singer [uuid=1f7cfe86-b98f-4f54-b216-ac69f6f2aad8]rubbished the rumours[/uuid], calling them “ridiculous” and “stupid” – and now, her rapper hubby has also come to her defence.

Asked about the speculation in a new interview with Vanity Fair, the 43-year-old revealed: “I don’t even know how to answer that. It’s just so stupid.”

Jay continued: “You know, I felt dismissive about it, but you’ve got to feel for her. I mean, we’ve got a really charmed life, so how can we complain? But when you think about it, we’re still human beings.”

The Empire State Of Mind star added that he was disappointed to see the rumour picked up by the mainstream media, particularly publications with a focus on hip hop.

The rapped lamented: “Even in hip hop, all the blogs - they had a field day with it. I’m like, ‘We come from you guys, we represent you guys. Why are you perpetuating this? Why are you adding fuel to this ridiculous rumour?’”

The couple’s baby girl [uuid=61d01317-a02e-4fc8-9ed6-24d78404d72e]Blue Ivy was born in January 2012[/uuid], with Jay recently [uuid=17fb9688-30b5-4e42-b95a-b6852ef8dbaf]calling the tot his “biggest fan.”[/uuid]
