No Invite For Dash at Jay-Z/Bey Wedding
Hovas former pal and business partner Damon Dash speaks out about their lost friendship
Former Roc-A-Fella Records boss Damon Dash has revealed he wont be getting a wedding invite to his old pal and business partner Jay-Zs wedding.
The pair famously parted ways after they sold their hip hop label - which discovered Kanye West among others - to Island Def Jam, the parent company which Jigga went on to become president of.
Rumours of a beef have been rife ever since the pair went their seperate ways professionally, and now Dash - who famously attempted to relaunch Victoria Beckham as a hip hop star in 2004 - says he has not been approached by his old mucka to attend his nuptials, whenever they might be!
"I never thought about anything like that," he told MTV UK News. "To be honest, he wasnt invited to my wedding (and) I would have to hang around with his cats, I dont like. Steve Stout and sh*t. I dont think about it, I have moved on he must have thought I was too famous."
Mogul Dash, who has now branched out into clothing and films ('Rocawear Clothing' and 'Dash Films') seems to have mixed feelings about his former bezzie now it's been rumoured that 'Lost One', a track on Jay's new album which includes the lyrics: "I heard muthaf---ers saying they made Hov", is about him.
"Me and Jay did too much together for me to have beef with him. If he was talking about me, I would be disappointed. I wish he would take me aside and tell me. Thats what grown men do.
"I would never air my laundry like that."
Could it all be sorted with a simple invite?
