Eastpak & Jean Paul Gaultier Team Up For Designers Against AIDS
Fancy getting your paws on some bargain JPG? Now’s your chance…
Backpack gurus Eastpak have teamed up with Jean Paul Gaultier to create a seriously sexy collection of bags – all in support of Designers Against AIDS (DAA).
While the Limited Collection - the Pilot backpack (£270) in two colourways featuring Jean’s signature corsetry, plus the Biker backpack (£360) in black leather – are available from January 30th, the far more affordable Main Collection launches on April 1st.
Set to be stocked at Selfridges and oki-ni, both the Denim and the Bomber backpacks are priced at £70, and are each available in two colours.
Meanwhile the campaign video sees a shirtless male model alternate between carrying trouserless girls and guys on his back – clad in Jean Paul Gaultier jackets and corsets – and the Eastpak bags inspired by JPG’s iconic pieces.
Additional videos show Monsieur Gaultier talking through the collection, its inspirations, and the work that has gone in to producing both the Main and Limited ranges.
