'Jem And The Holograms' Film Starts Shooting In 3 Weeks!
No word whether Kelly Osbourne will be starring...
They may not have a cast, a script or a soundtrack yet (as far as we know) but the upcoming Jem and the Holograms film starts shooting in THREE WEEKS!
Jason Blum – who is co-producing the flick alongside Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun – told Collider: “We start shooting right away. Very soon. In like three weeks.”
And despite reports, he also reassured fans that the film would be a family-friendly PG.
When Blum and Braun – plus director Jon M Chu – first announced the movie a couple of weeks ago, they also revealed they would be crowdsourcing submissions for the film, asking fans to send in everything from costume designs to audition tapes.
One person who was definitely interested in a role was Kelly Osbourne. She tweeted: ““Im just going to say it... If they really are making a movie of #JemAndTheHolograms Im TrulyOutragouse & born to play that role!”
No word if the Fashion Police star ever did send in an audition video but Blum confirms there were plenty of submissions: “We got the craziest stuff, yeah. It was great. It was really awesome, and really fun,” he said.
Yesterday Chu also posted an update video, showcasing some of those crazy submissions and promising “Lots more challenges in the next week or so.”
