Jennifer Lawrence Is Set To Direct A Comedy Film, And We’d Like To Buy Our Tickets Now Please

Is there anything she can’t do?

This year, Jennifer Lawrence has properly, officially cemented herself as one of the biggest actresses in the world.

But that’s clearly not enough for the former Katniss Everdeen, because she’s ready to take the plunge into her next big challenge – directing.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (who have just named J-Law their Entertainer of the Year, FYI), the star revealed her next plans involve getting behind the camera.

Chatting to the mag, she explained: “I’d also like to direct a comedy.

“I have wanted to direct as long as I’ve wanted to act. I just don’t talk about it because I’d rather just do it.”

And now, with an Oscar and a multi-million dollar franchise under her belt, it looks like the time may be now.

“It’s funny, I’ve wanted to direct since I was 16 and always thought I should start making steps towards that,” she added.

“If I had tried to do it earlier, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now I actually feel ready.”

And if this wasn’t already exciting enough, J-Law even revealed what her first directing job could be.

“I’ve signed on to direct something calledProject Delirium —it’s based on this article about mental warfare in the ’60s, like an acid experiment gone terribly wrong.”

AMAZING.
