Jennifer Lawrence Shows Off Vocals In Mockingjay Part One
The actress was supposedly ‘horrified’ about having to sing in the movie…
She already spoke to David Letterman about how much singing on camera terrifies her, and now we get to hear Jennifer Lawrence’s voice for ourselves in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
J-Law’s rendition of the song The Hanging Tree features in the latest instalment of the dystopian series, which takes lyrics from Suzanne Collins’ novel.
Hit-makers The Lumineers created the melody, which is introduced in the film as a song Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) learned from her father when he was alive.
Speaking to Letterman about debuting her singing voice on set, Jennifer said: “I do not like singing in front of other people. It’s like my biggest fear.
"I cried on set that day and apparently I’m crying all the time. That was awful. I’m like scarred from my childhood because I have a southern mother who would just tell me that I was amazing at everything, that I could do everything. But, I can’t.”
