Jennifer Lawrence could miss the Oscars because she is suffering from pneumonia, it has emerged.
The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook star had to send a pal to collect her award from another Hollywood awards ceremony at the weekend.
And the New York Daily News reports that she was given a round of applause by the crowd at the Australian Academy Of Cinema and Television Arts Awards - held in LA - anyway when co-star Jacki Weaver collected the Best Actress award on her behalf.
She said: "I am going to accept this award on behalf of Jennifer, she really wishes she could be here, but she is very ill."
And a source explained that the crowd was taken aback when Weaver clarified that J-Law was suffering from pneumonia.
"Everyone was shell-shocked at what Jacki said. With these ceremonies, when people claim to be ill sometimes there is doubt about how unwell someone really is."
She is among the favourites for the Oscars - which are being held on 24 February.
J-Law has already had a very good awards season.
