She's no stranger to playing strong women, and Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly set to team up with Steven Spielberg to play a war photographer in a "whirlwind" movie project.
J-Law is claimed by Deadline to be attached to play Lynsey Addario in a big-screen adaptation of her best-selling memoir It’s What I Do: A Photographer's Life Of Love And War.
And legendary director Spielberg is apparently attached to helm the movie after Warner Brothers went into the lead in a keenly-fought bidding war - with a number of big names vying for the property.
Working Title are reportedly seeking to cast Reese Witherspoon in the lead role, while Darren Aronofsky reportedly wants it for Natalie Portman - and The Wolf Of Wall Street's Margot Robbie is also claimed to want the part.
The book, which was serialised in the New York Times Magazine, tells the story of the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist's journey to Afghanistan after 9/11 to give a voice to the victims of conflict there - both under the Taliban and as a result of the US-led invasion.
Her dangerous assignments have also included trips to cover victims of genocide in Darfur, the rape of women in the Congo - and being kidnapped herself by pro-Gaddafi forces in Libya.
